Loft Insulation

We offer installation of loft insulation using Knauf Earthwool or Superglass Multi-Roll. These materials are lightweight, durable, and non-combustible, providing excellent thermal, acoustic, and fire performance. Our experts can provide advice on cost-effective solutions to achieve your desired U-Value, all while maintaining zero ozone depletion and zero global warming potential.

Timber Frame Insulation

For those opting for timber frame construction, we offer valuable assistance in optimizing your specifications. Whether you need to meet the 2013 Part L Building Regs or Passivhaus standards, we can help you achieve cost-effective solutions. Our options include glass mineral wool or PIR products, complemented by vapor control and air-tightness membranes.

Warm Roof – Room in Roof Insulation

If you have habitable spaces within your roof area, Clean Renewable Solutions provides insulation solutions. The roof slopes can be insulated using either PIR Board or quilt. Our Sales and Estimating team is readily available to offer advice on the most suitable approach to meet your specific requirements.

Application Overview - Built-in Insulation Between Studs with Low Emissivity Service Void

Mineral Wool rolls or slabs are snugly fitted between timber studs, accompanied by a low emissivity vapour control layer and a low emissivity service void, all working together to enhance thermal performance. Timber frame walls generally outperform masonry walls of similar thickness in terms of thermal insulation. However, the lower wall mass necessitates insulation materials that offer superior acoustic performance to compensate. Our non-combustible solutions for timber frame buildings are specifically designed to fit snugly between the studs, minimizing heat loss and providing acoustic absorption for improved overall acoustic performance of the wall.

Application Overview - Built-in Insulation Between Studs with Partially Filled Cavity

Mineral Wool rolls or slabs are tightly fitted between timber studs, and additional non-combustible insulation is used to partially fill the external cavity, further enhancing thermal performance. Ensuring a proper reaction to fire classification of insulation products is crucial to minimize the risk of fire spreading through the cavity. Additionally, due to the reduced mass of timber frame walls, insulation materials must deliver higher acoustic performance to compensate. Our non-combustible solutions for timber frame buildings are tailored to snugly fit between studs, reducing heat loss, and offering acoustic absorption to elevate the wall's overall acoustic performance.

DESCRIPTION

Knauf Insulation Loft Roll 44 is a Glass Mineral Wool roll, designed for use in cold lofts where pitched roofs are insulated at ceiling level, that offers good thermal performance in the range.

It is non-combustible insulation with the best possible Euroclass A1 reaction to fire classification, and is manufactured using Knauf Insulation's unique bio-based binder, ECOSE® Technology.
